"Forever, I Am Yours"

Lord, You are my light, my song, my guide,
Through every storm, You stand beside.
Your mercy flows like an endless tide,
Forever, I am Yours.

These simple lines echo a universal longing: to be anchored in divine presence, upheld through chaos, and guided by a light beyond our own. Across all spiritual traditions, one truth sings forth—there is help beyond what the eye can see, and love deeper than the mind can grasp.

The Gift of Divine Guidance

Divine guidance isn’t always a booming voice or a lightning bolt of clarity. Often, it's a whisper in your heart, a peaceful nudge, or a closed door that redirects your path. It's the sense that you are not alone—that someone walks with you, understands you, and leads you toward growth, even in your struggle.

The psalmist proclaimed:
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1)

While the Christian faith emphasizes a personal God who leads and loves, Buddhism offers a different, yet resonant form of guidance: the inner awakening of wisdom.

In Buddhism, the Buddha taught that each individual has a "Buddha-nature"—a seed of enlightenment within. Divine guidance comes through mindfulness, meditation, and awareness. As one becomes still, the path becomes clear. (Be Still and know that I am God)

In Hinduism, the concept of dharma plays a vital role. Dharma is one's divine purpose or sacred duty, guided by universal law and personal karma. The Bhagavad Gita, a Hindu sacred text, tells of Krishna guiding Arjuna in a time of deep moral conflict. Krishna doesn't hand Arjuna a blueprint—he leads him to his own inner knowing through divine counsel.

In both traditions, the idea isn’t about a God who shouts from above, but a divine principle or presence within that knows the way, and urges us to align with truth and peace.

One Light, Many Lamps

Whether it’s the mercy of Christ, the teachings of the Buddha, or the voice of Krishna, the message is strikingly similar:

You are not abandoned.
You are not wandering without purpose.
You are being led.
