A Story of Ember the Spark and the Bunny

Change is a journey, often daunting yet magical, much like nature itself. What better way to explore transformation than through the adventures of Ember the Spark and her forest friend, Bunny?

Once Upon a Time in the Forest of Change

In the heart of the Forest of Change, a tiny spark named Ember danced around with an excited glow. Ember was no ordinary spark; she was known for helping her forest friends ignite transformation in their lives. One day, she came across Bunny, sitting sadly under a large oak tree.

“What’s wrong, Bunny?” Ember asked, her glow dimming with concern.

“I feel stuck,” Bunny sighed. “I want to hop higher and reach the sweetest clovers, but I just can’t seem to do it.”

“Don’t worry,” Ember said brightly. “I’ll guide you through the Forest of Change. Together, we’ll transform your hops into leaps of joy!”

🔥 Step 1: Fire – Connect & Appreciate Their World

Ember floated closer, her warmth helping Bunny feel at ease.

“Tell me more,” Ember said gently. “What’s holding you back?”

Bunny explained how he was afraid of failing and didn’t know where to start. Ember listened carefully, her glow showing Bunny that his fears were valid.

“Your world matters, Bunny,” she said. “We’ll find a way to change things together.”

🗻 Step 2: Earth – Connect & Get Leverage

As they hopped through the forest, they came to a rocky path. Ember paused.

“This path is like your big challenge,” she said. “It feels heavy, but we can move it if we focus on what matters most. Why do you want to leap higher?”

Bunny thought for a moment. “I want to reach the best clovers, not just for me, but to share with my family.”

“That’s your reason, your rock to move!” Ember exclaimed. Bunny felt his paws tingle with new determination.

"Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change."

🍃 Step 3: Metal – Interrupt & Annihilate Limiting Patterns

Next, they reached a grove filled with tangled vines. “These vines are like the thoughts holding you back,” Ember said.

Using her spark, Ember showed Bunny how to cut through the vines one by one. Bunny began hopping through the clearing, feeling lighter.

“Every time you doubt yourself,” Ember said, “remember: you’re snipping those vines and creating a new path.”

"If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten."

💧 Step 4: Water – Define the Problem in Solvable Terms

Soon, they arrived at a calm stream. Bunny gazed at his reflection.

“What’s really stopping you?” Ember asked.

“I think I’ve been trying to hop all at once, instead of practicing little by little,” Bunny admitted.

Ember smiled. “Exactly! Let’s break this into smaller, solvable hops. Start with one little leap, then another.”

Bunny practiced hopping over pebbles, then small logs, feeling his confidence flow like the stream.

"Identify your problems, but give your power and energy to solutions."

🌱 Step 5: Seed – Access Empowering Resources & Make the Change

In a sunlit meadow, Ember pointed to a patch of seeds.

“These are like the tools and ideas you can plant,” she explained. “What’s something new you can try to leap higher?”

Bunny thought of stretching exercises he’d seen Squirrel do and practiced them. He also imagined himself soaring higher each day, watering his belief with determination.

🌳 Step 6: Tree – Condition the Change Until It Becomes a Habit

As Bunny grew stronger, Ember guided him to the Great Tree, where he could practice daily leaps.

“Keep going, Bunny,” Ember encouraged. “The more you leap, the stronger your roots of habit will grow.”

Day by day, Bunny leaped higher, and the once-distant clovers were now within reach.

"Repetition is the mother of skill."

One morning, Bunny bounded to the top of the hill, clovers in paw. He looked down at his family, happily sharing his treasures.

“You’ve done it, Bunny!” Ember cheered. “Your change is now part of something bigger—bringing joy to others.”

Bunny smiled, his heart full of gratitude.

"Life is not about me; life is about we."

Steps

How to Apply Tony Robbins' Seven Master Steps

As a new coach, you are equipped with the power to help clients achieve meaningful and lasting change in their lives. One of the most effective frameworks for transforming behaviors, beliefs, and habits is Tony Robbins' Seven Master Steps.

Step 1: Connect - Understand & Appreciate Their World 💖🔥

The first step in helping your client is to truly understand their world. This means listening deeply to their challenges, dreams, and experiences without judgment. By empathizing with where they are emotionally and mentally, you build trust and create a foundation for change. Appreciate their current reality so that you can interrupt their emotional patterns. When your client feels heard and understood, they’re more open to change.

💡
Tip for Coaches: Ask powerful questions to explore their current situation and emotional state.

Examples include:
- "What’s working for you right now?"
- "How do you feel about the progress you’ve made?"

Step 2: Connect & Get Leverage 🤝🗻

Now that you've built rapport, it’s time to get leverage. Help your client identify why change is a "must" for them. What will be the cost of staying where they are? What will they gain by making the shift? The key is to connect their change to something deeply motivating, like a stronger sense of purpose or a vision of a more fulfilling life.

This is a tricky one, their nervous system is already calibrated towards certain values and away from others. The person's nervous system is like a giant magnet that moves towards certain values or away from. As you discover how the person is charged you start to understand their rocks... Remember this isn't a mere intellectual activity this is a physical and emotional one. You want to understand what motivates them on a visceral level. This charge you find will be used in the next step... think of it like magnet material underneath the dirt. These magnet charges are leverage.

💡
Tip for Coaches: Make sure the client feels the emotional weight of the change.

Ask, “What will happen if nothing changes?” and “What would your life look like if you took action today?” Leverage their intrinsic motivation.

Step 3: Interrupt & Annihilate the Limiting Pattern 🧲🍃

Habits are powerful, but they can be limiting. To break free from destructive patterns, you need to help your client interrupt their old ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. This can be done by helping them create a disruptive moment—something that shifts their focus and brings awareness to their automatic responses.

Where do you notice the client being hooked? Where do they keep going back to (especially where it feels unhealthy or disempowering)? Or prescribe the pattern.

For example Tony prescribes "Depression" to Tahnee, telling her "get depressed". In this "reverse psychology" of sorts he's helping her see, she has the power to change her state very rapidly. The part that feels out of control is when her needs are "screaming" in her face and so her brain automatically kicks into gear and runs the "poor me" program to meet her needs.

💡
Tip for Coaches: Use powerful exercises that create disruption in their current patterns. This could involve role-playing, visualization, or introducing new physical movements that "interrupt" their habitual responses. Tony often asks them if they can burp or fart. Or he'll interrupt them with a strong emotional response like shouting "Heal!"

Step 4: Define the Problem in Solvable Terms 🌊💧

The next step is to redefine the problem in a way that empowers the client. Rather than seeing the challenge as overwhelming, help them break it down into smaller, solvable pieces. By seeing the problem as manageable, the client will feel more confident and capable of taking action.

💡
Tip for Coaches: Reframe the problem with questions like, “What’s one small step you could take today?” or “What action can you take right now to move forward?”
💡
Example: In Module 4, Tony reframes "depression" as an unmet need for connection, variety, and growth. He’s not claiming to be a medical expert or suggesting depression should be ignored; rather, he encourages focusing on fulfilling these human needs, as it presents a more solvable challenge. Depression may feel "impossible" to overcome, but addressing unmet needs feels like a "doable" solution.
Core 100 Module 4 - Breaking Through
“Most people keep their problems because they meet their needs without risking their greatest fear. The moment you realize your emotional patterns are choices, you unlock the power to create the life you truly desire.”

Step 5: Access Empowering Resources & Make the Change 🌱

At this point, your client needs to access empowering resources—whether that’s knowledge, skills, support, or inner strengths. You help them tap into these resources to create a new, empowering alternative to their previous behavior.

💡
Tip for Coaches: Guide your client to reflect on their strengths and past successes. Help them visualize success and consider what tools, skills, or mindset shifts will support their transformation. Encourage them to take concrete steps toward their goal.
💡
Example: Imagine a client struggling with self-doubt about starting a new business. Tony Robbins might help them access empowering resources by first guiding them to recall past successes, such as a time when they overcame a challenge, no matter how small. He might then ask them to visualize themselves running a successful business, feeling confident and in control, while anchoring that empowering state by having them stand tall with their chest open and breathe deeply. To reinforce their belief, he could suggest identifying mentors or joining a supportive network of entrepreneurs for guidance and encouragement.

Step 6: Condition the Change until It Becomes a Habit 🌳

To make lasting change, the new behavior must become a habit. This means consistently reinforcing the new behavior until it becomes second nature. Help your client create small, consistent actions that support their desired outcome.

💡
Tip for Coaches: Encourage your client to take daily actions that reinforce the new pattern. Provide regular follow-ups, reminders, and accountability to help them stay on track. Send a simple WhatsApp or Text Reminder or check-in. Or ask them how they can prompt themselves.
📑
Expert: BJ Fogg emphasizes that prompts are key cues or reminders that trigger desired behaviors, and they should be simple, clear, and anchored to existing habits or routines to effectively form lasting habits.

Finally, ensure that the change is ecologically sound—that it doesn’t just benefit the client, but also aligns with their values and the greater good. Link the change to a higher purpose, helping your client see how their transformation serves not just their personal goals but also their broader purpose or connection to others.

💡
Tip for Coaches: Ask, “How does this change align with your values?” and “How does this contribute to the greater good?” Help your client connect their personal transformation to a larger vision.

By following these seven steps, you’ll guide your clients through a process of transformation that is not only deep-rooted but also sustainable. Remember, change takes time, but with patience and the right tools, your clients will experience powerful, lasting shifts.
